Cliptop for iOS 1.4.0: Follow Up Library and contact clips

Save links and other clips for later, get optional reminders, and keep shared contacts as cards on iPhone and iPad.

Cliptop for iOS 1.4.0 introduces Follow Up Library and contact clips. Keep interesting links for later and save shared contact details without having to add them to your address book first.

New features

Come back to a clip later

Touch and hold a clip and choose Follow Up Later, or choose Follow Up when saving from the Share Sheet. Open the Follow Up Library when you are ready to work through your saved clips.

Allow notifications if you want a reminder. Reminders start after six hours and are limited to one per day, on the device where you last selected Follow Up for that clip.

The new Follow Up introduction also appears once for existing users. It explains the feature and offers notification permission without repeating the full onboarding.

Save and use shared contacts

Share a contact from Contacts, or a .vcf file from Files, to Cliptop. It becomes a contact card with a preview of its details.

A contact card in Cliptop for iOS with its copy, preview, and Add to Contacts actions

Copy a phone number or email address when you need it, or choose Add to Contacts to review and save the contact in the system contact screen.

Text clips now offer actions for the links they contain. Open the page you need without first copying the link out of a longer note or message.

Product changes

  • Link previews load in the background.
  • iCloud Sync can resume interrupted downloads and retry failed records.
  • Copy Support Info now includes the database error message when a local database operation fails.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a duplicate content-hash conflict that could prevent iCloud Sync from completing. The fix keeps both clips and their pinboard links.
  • Fixed missing items in the default Pins pinboard after sync.
  • Fixed the keyboard showing an old development library instead of the app’s production clips and pinboards on devices previously used for testing.
  • Fixed previews for App Store links.
