Cliptop 1.9.0: Lock private clips and pause capture

Cliptop 1.9 gives you more control over what stays in your clipboard history and who can see it. You can now lock individual clips or entire Pinboards, then open them with Touch ID or your Mac login password. You can also pause clipboard capture whenever you need a break from history.

Lock only what needs protecting

Lock a clip to hide its contents while keeping it close at hand. Cliptop replaces its preview with a locked state and asks you to authenticate before you can view, copy, paste, or otherwise use the protected content.

For a collection of related clips, lock the entire Pinboard instead. Every clip inside is protected together, making it useful for private projects, personal details, or anything else you do not want sitting openly in your clipboard library.

Keep locked content protected across your Macs

Locked clips and Pinboards remain encrypted when iCloud Sync is enabled. The protection travels with them through your private iCloud account, so synced content does not need to be exposed just to stay available on another Mac.

Pause clipboard capture on your schedule

Need to copy something without adding it to your history? Pause capture for 30 minutes, one, two, four, or eight hours, the rest of the day, or indefinitely. A visible paused state makes it clear when Cliptop is not recording new clipboard activity, and you can resume capture whenever you are ready.

Protected-workflow fixes

Locked clips can no longer be dragged out of Cliptop while they are protected. This release also improves window focus around authentication and protected actions, along with the reliability of locking and syncing protected content.
