Cliptop 1.10.5: More control over detected secrets
Release in progress: local secret detection, optional encryption, and history expiry.
Release in progress: This entry is dated October 29, 2026. The Mac App Store release is awaiting review.
Cliptop 1.10.5 gives you more control over sensitive items while reducing false matches.
Better local detection
Cliptop recognizes more provider key and token formats, including Stripe webhook secrets and Telegram bot tokens. All checks run on your Mac. Ordinary numbers, color values, and long identifiers are less likely to be marked as sensitive.
Optional protection for secrets
Turn on Lock detected secrets to encrypt newly saved secrets in history. Use Touch ID or your Mac password to access them.
With Delete secrets from history, choose how long detected secrets stay in History. The default is 90 seconds when the option is enabled, and copying an item starts its timer again.
When this option is on, detected secrets stay out of iCloud Sync. Previously synced copies are removed when devices next sync. Local copies saved in pinboards or Follow Up remain. History expiry does not clear the active system clipboard.
These controls are available in Settings > Capture.
