Cliptop 1.10.0: Follow Up Library and contact clips
Save clips for later with Follow Up Library, keep contacts as clip cards, and find your way around faster with keyboard shortcut hints.
Cliptop 1.10.0 introduces Follow Up Library and contact clips. Save an interesting link for later, get a reminder to return to it, or keep a shared contact with the rest of your clips.
New features
Save now, follow up later
Press Command-C twice quickly to add the copied clip to Follow Up. You can also choose Follow Up Later from a clip’s menu. Your saved links and other clips stay together in the Follow Up Library, ready when you have time for them.
Notifications are optional. When enabled, reminders start after six hours and are limited to one per day. You can mark a clip, or a group of clips, as done from the notification.
A short introduction explains Follow Up and lets you allow notifications. Existing users see this new screen once, without repeating the full onboarding.
Keep contacts as clips
Copy a contact or drop a .vcf file into Cliptop to save it as a contact card. Preview its details, copy a phone number or email address, or use Add to Contacts to open the Contacts import flow.
Find actions faster
Hold Command in the clipboard panel to see shortcut hints on your clips. Text clips now also offer actions for links found inside them, so you can open a link without copying the whole text first.
Product changes
- Cliptop appears in the Dock while its windows are open, making them easier to return to.
- Clip menus now use a more consistent set of actions across the panel and Library.
- You can open Settings directly from the Library.
- iCloud Sync can resume interrupted downloads and retry records that failed to download.
Direct license checks
The Direct build now checks your license online daily and allows up to 14 days of offline access after a successful check. Connect once after updating; Cliptop uses your saved license key automatically. Connection failures do not delete your key or clipboard data.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a sync conflict that could stop iCloud Sync when two clip records had the same content hash. Both clips and their pinboard links are preserved.
- Fixed missing items in the default Pins pinboard when syncing across devices.
- Fixed automatic link previews when Cliptop runs in the background.
- Fixed the keyboard shortcut for Settings.
